Oh Happy Day!

Oh happy cupcake day! My friend Kaila turned 22 this week and she absolutely adores cupcakes. Not only does she enjoy eating them, I mean who doesn't, but this girl has cupcake everything! So I made her this fun shadow box to put up in her bachlorette pad.

I used the Create a cupcake stamp set with co-ordinating punch and punched the bottom of our cupcakes out of the Just Add Cake DSP. I used the in color palette 2010-2011 poppy parade, concord crush, blushing bride, pear pizazz and peach parfait. I then used dimensionals to pop the top of the cupcake up and added a real red brad as the cherry. Ta DA! I hope Kai loves it!

MORE Mad hatting!

So on to bigger 3d projects! This has to be my FAVORITE 3d part of the mad hatters set up. The teapot favor box and the teacup cupcakes wraps. Of course they are made from none other then Twitterpated DSP.

Here's a pic of the lovely creation!
I used a template to create the teacup wraps and the teapot and don't forget the lovely doilies made with our new Paper Doily Sizzlits die! Everything is made from the *NEW* Twitterpated DSP , the Drink me tag is punched from the Decorative label punch I the punched a hole using the  Crop a dile and then tied the label to the handle of the cup with Early Espresso bakers twine.

I love how it turned out! I'm very excited to be helping with this shower. More to come keep watching.

Mad Hatters Teaparty W/ Twitterpated DSP

I am so excited to share these new 3d projects with you!  My very close and dear friend Dee is pregnant with her first child. Since we are so close Dee asked me to help her mom and sisters plan her very first shower. Now it couldn't just be a plain no themed shower. NO WAY!!! not with me around. So I asked Dee to pick a theme that she would really love. She picked the Mad Hatters Tea Party. I knew as soon as she said it that the *NEW* Twitterpated DSP was going to be perfect .  So as the rest of this month goes by I will try to share as many projects for the shower as I can . The first one being the mad hatters take out favor box/gift bag.
I used basic black card stock and my new Simply Scored to make this awesome little thing with a helpful template that is.I assembled it using Sticky strip.  I then cut a small rectangle card shape from very vanilla card stock using my cutter. I wrote a 10/6 on  it because this is the mad hatters hat size. The paper band around the top hat is the lovely new Twitterpated DSP . I then punched out some BOHO Blossoms and inked them with Choco chip ink, layered them on top of each other biggest to smallest and finished them off with some basic pearls jewel accents. I put the 10/6 card on and then glued my feather in . After this i put my band around my hat and clumped my flowers and glued them in and VOILA!! A cute mad hatter's hat take home box that I 'm sure any guest would love to receive. I know i would!

Make sure you come on back tomorrow to see some more of my Mad hatter's tea party accessories!

Fun Valentines Treats!

So this year my oldest son Blake is 10, so I was unsure of if he still wanted to give out valentines. When I asked him I got the look , well duh ? mom. lol. So since he is getting older ,sigh, i figured i would make something that's not so Valentine-y. So this is what we came up with:

So here are both my meat heads together...lol... there are a lot of things I LOVE about my boys one of them being they are very calm yet humorous. There's never a dull day in this house!

Here is my oldest- Blake- 10 -my goodness their getting facial hair younger these days...lol

Here is my 4 year old Brice with big red kissy lips !!! lol

The mustaches are cut from basic black 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock  a hole is punched in the center using the crop a dile, i poked the sucker stick through this hole to hold the lips or mustache on. I punched the tags out using the large tag punch. I then punched a hole in them using the crop a dile once again. The stamps on the tag are from two different stamp sets, the heart which is stamped in real red classic ink is from the stamp set Every Little bit. Then I stamped "Be Mine" from the Outlined Occasions stamp set in the Sale-a-bration catalog. I tied the tag on with some  Cherry Cobbler bakers twine .
The lips are made the same way but using real red cardstock .

Thanx for visiting my blog and Happy Valentines Day!!!

Love Bug Valentines

I simply love these buggy cards for Brice's class for valentines day. They are a great boys valentine, especially for my little boy who loves dirt, mud and creepy crawlies.  I used crumb cake 8 1/2 x11 card stock and I ran it trough my printer to print these jars by Dandee. They print 4 to a page. I punched 2 holes approx. 1/4 inch in from the side by setting my handy dandy Crop-a-dile at 1/4 inch using the smallest hole. Once I had that done I used the smallest baggies I could find and stuffed a gummy 8 legged spider into it. lol. I then put the cherry cobbler bakers twine through the holes and tied it around the baggy to secure the spider in place and VOILA a cute but creepy valentine that anybody would be happy to receive!

P.S- sorry for the images in the next couple posts, the colors aren't very great as my good SLR is being repaired.

I hope you enjoyed my Buggy Valentines,
